DAY 01 :– ARRIVAL DELHI
Garlanding on arrival. Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport, our representative will meet to welcome and escort you by a private chauffeur driven car and transfer to hotel . Delhi, capital city of the Federal Republic of India. It is one of India's fastest growing cities. It has sprawled over the West Bank of the river Yamuna, straddling the river. Delhi blends an historic past and a vibrant present. Delhi has some of the finest museums in the country. New Delhi was proclaimed the capital of India by the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944) & is tree-lined & spacious. Legend has it that the Pandavas, the august heroes of the epic Mahabharata, originally founded Delhi, then called Indraprastha, around 1200 B.C. Present day Delhi is built around the ruins of seven ancient cities. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02 :– IN DELHI
Morning combined city tour of North & South Delhi, visiting Old Delhi: the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk, Later take a sight seeing tour of New Delhi includes Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families. DAY 03 :– DELHI - MANDAWA
Morning depart by surface to Mandawa. On arrival check in hotel. Mandawa is a small town in the heart of Shekhawati region. The place is known not only for its havelis but also for its Fort Palace. The structure of the palace reminds of the cultural and social importance of this region in the past. Of the havelis, the most important are the Chokhani, Ladia, Binsidhar Newatia, and Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli. Another haveli, the Binsidhar Newatia Haveli, is known for its curious paintings. There is a painting of a boy holding a telephone and a European woman in a car driven by a chauffeur. The Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli is famous for its erotic images, now mostly defaced. DAY 04 :– MANDAWA - BIKANER
After breakfast depart by surface to Bikaner, on arrival check in at Hotel. BIKANER- If ever beauty has bloomed in a desert, it has been at Bikaner. Founded in 1488 AD by Rao Bika Ji, it's located in north west part of Rajasthan state in INDIA.The imposing palaces, beautiful and richly sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones display some of the finest creations of Rajput civilization. It's lust for "dessert"or affection for "desert" that tickles every heart to visit Bikaner. Afternoon city tour the majestic forts , Mata Karni Temple where rats are considered sacred and worshipped. Some of the major attractions around the city are Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, Camel Breeding Farm, Gajner Palace, Deshnoke Temple and Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 :– BIKANER – JAISALMER
After breakfast depart by surface to Jaisalmer, on arrival check in at Hotel. Jaisalmer is one of the India's most precious jewels. Fortified in golden stone, it rises like a mirage from the barren Thar desert of Rajasthan, its 99 bastions silhouetted against the sky, this remote settlement was renowned for the valour of its rulers, the ferocity of its warriors - during British rule it was the last to sign a treaty with the British - and for the aesthetic sense represented by the architecture of the palaces and havelis of its successful merchants. DAY 06 :– IN JAISALMER
After breakfast take city tour visiting the massive Jaisalmer Fort , the second oldest fort in Rajasthan after Chittaur , Patwon ki Haveli, the grandest haveli of Jaisalmer , Desert Culture centre and museums gives you some glimpse of this small town’s past. The Jain temples meet your religious taste, Salim Singh ki haveli and Nathmal-ki-haveli give you some more idea of the haveli architecture of the town. Besides these, Gadsisar Lake is also an interesting spot to visit in this desert city. Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand Dunes - No trip to Jaisalmer is complete without a trip to the most picturesque dunes of Sam. The ripples on the wind -caressed dunes, that create an enchanting mirage, are surely a delight for a trigger -happy photographer. Various cultural programmes are organized against the backdrop of these fascinating sand dunes. Exciting camel safaris allow you to get the real feel of the desert on the camel back. DAY 07 :– JAISALMER - JODHPUR
After breakfast depart by surface to Jodhpur, on arrival check in at Hotel. Jodhpur history revolves around the Rathore Clan. Rao Jodha, the chief of the Rathore clan, is credited with the origin of Jodhpur in India. He founded Jodhpur in 1459. The city is named after him only. It was previously known as Marwar. The following paragraphs will tell you more about the past of Jodhpur,Rajasthan. The Rathores were driven out of their original homeland, Kaunaj, by Afghans. They fled to Pali, near to the present day Jodhpur. Rathore Siahaji married the sister of a local prince. This helped the Rathores to establish and strengthen themselves in this region. In some time they ousted the Pratiharas of Mandore, just 9 km of today's Jodhpur. Initially, Mandore served as their capital, but, by 1459, Rathores felt a need for a secure capital. This lead to the formation of Jodhpur, the Sun City, by Rao Jodha. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 08 :– IN JODHPUR
Morning half day city tour visiting Mehrangarh Fort – This massive fort is the most impressive and formidable structurein Jodhpur . Jaswant Thada – A cluster of royal cenotaphs in white marble built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Umaid Bhawan Palace – The only 20th century palace built under the famine relief project that gave employment to famine struck population. The palace was completed in 16 years. Afternoon at leisure . DAY 09 :– JODHPUR - UDAIPUR
After breakfast depart by surface to Udaipur, on arrival check in at Hotel. Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights, sound and experiences. Right from the medieval times, the city has been an inspiration for poets, painters and writers. Founded in 1559 and named after Maharana Udai Singh, Udaipur became the capital of the Sisodia dynasty whose earlier capital was Chittor. According to legend, the Maharana was out hunting one day when he met a holy man meditating on a hill overlooking the Lake Pichola. The hermit blessed the Maharana and told him to built a palace at that very spot, as it would be well protected. The Maharana followed the holy man”s advice and Udaipur came into being. DAY 10 :– IN UDAIPUR
After breakfast explore half day city tour, Udaipur is a study in white. The city is famous for its palaces, lake, museums, temples, and gardens. The City Palace and Museum is considered as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan and its museum has stunning collection of objects collected by different Maharanas of Udaipur over the centuries. The Picholia Lake, Udai Sagar, and Pratap Sagar are some of the most beautiful lakes in the state. Some other attractions in the city are the Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Jag Mandir, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir, Pratap Memorial, and Ahar Museum. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 11 :– UDAIPUR - PUSHKAR
After breakast depart by surface to Pushkar, on arrival check in at Hotel. Pushkar is one of the frequently visited tourist destinations of Rajasthan. Characterised by a picturesque valley, mountainous regions, uncommon scenic spots, and several pilgrimage sites of importance, Pushkar is known all over. It also makes one of the revered Hindu pilgrimage sites of India and houses the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the world. The flow of tourists to Pushkar increases exceptionally during the time of the camel fair. The locals here are very hospitable and they dress up with their best during this much-awaited camel fair. Their colourful veils, turbaned heads, and colourfully dyed skirts, with sounds of the ektara and the soulful tunes of the Rajasthani folk songs make the nights of the Pushkar equally pleasing. Afternoon take half day city tour Pushkar is a large accumulation of attractions. Besides some picturesque sites, there are more than 400 temples here that attract tourists towards this place every year. Some of the holy places that you should make a point to visit while in Pushkar are the Brahma Temple, Gau Ghat, Nag Hill, Markendeya Rishi Ashram, Pap Mochini Temple, Agastya Muni Ashram and Gaya Kund. Besides, the picturesque lake, the Savitri Temple, and the Pushkar Bazaar are also worth a visit. Ovenight at hotel.
DAY 12 :– PUSHKAR - JAIPUR
After breakast depart by surface to Jaipur, on arrival check in at Hotel. Jaipur Widely known as the ‘Pink City. This city is color washed pink to welcome Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria of England who visited India in 1883 A.D. The city was founded in 1727 A.D by one of the greatest ruler Jai Singh II. Jaipur is surrounded by hills on three sides, crowned by formidable forts and majestic palaces, mansions and gardens. Jaipur is the only city in the world, which is sub-divided in to nine rectangular sectors symbolizing nine divisions of universe. Jaipur is the first planned city designed in accordance with ‘Shilpa Shastra’- epochal treatise of Hindu architecture. Ovenight at hotel.
DAY 13 :– IN JAIPUR
Today after breakfast explore the Pink City with an excursion to Amber Fort, situated just outside the city, enjoy the experience of ride on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Afternoon sightseeing tour of City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Not far away is the Central Museum. Jantar Mantar is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen, all monuments are located in the vicinity of City Palace Complex of Jaipur. Afternoon is kept free to visit the famous Markets of Textiles, Gems, Carpets, and handicrafts. Jaipur is an ideal place for buying souvenirs. In the evening visit to Birla Temple, speculator white marble temple, glitters in the in the night, at the time of dinner visit to Chokhi Dhani - an ethnic 5 star resort serving Rajasthani & Continental cuisine with live music, astrology, games, folk dances and music, puppet shows in an ambiance of an ethnic village. DAY 14 :– JAIPUR - AGRA
After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Agra, en route visit Fathpur Sikri, (37 kms Before Agra) on arrival transfer to Hotel. Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. Pleasant towns with comparatively slow pace, craftsmen who are descendant of those who worked under the Mughals know Agra for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 15 : AGRA - Delhi
After Breakfast visit Agra Fort, designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., built with barricaded wall of red sand stone; it houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Macchhi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Meena Bazar, Moti Masjid, Sheesh Mahal, Musamman Burj where from Taj Mahal is visible in all its beauty from one side of the fort. So very ironically, Emperor Sahahjahan, prisoner of his son Aurangzeb in his old age was put in a cell from where he could gaze at the Taj Mahal at a distance, from his cell in the fort. Later visit to witness one of most beautiful among the seven wonders of the world: Taj Mahal with its’ speculative view. Taj Mahal, the architectural modern day wonder of the world; this monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world.
